I turn complexity into clarity. I'm building the systems, strategies, and stories that help organisations grow intelligently. Two decades of operational excellence, now supercharged by AI.
The person behind the strategy
I'm an ambitious New Zealander, a mum to four, world traveller, published author, and keynote speaker. I've spent 20+ years helping organisations run better. My superpower is seeing the gaps others miss and building the systems, content, and culture to close them.
Whether I'm crafting a brand's message during crisis, building a knowledge base from scratch, or automating workflows with AI tools, I bring the same energy: curious, strategic, and relentlessly focused on outcomes.
I'm now seeking roles where operational expertise and marketing strategy collide. Particularly with teams bold enough to put AI at the centre of how they work.
What I bring
Honed across two decades of real-world operations, communications, and customer experience.
I design processes that scale. From sole-charge offices to global remote teams, I've built systems that reduce friction, cut costs, and free people to do their best work.
I've built knowledge systems that dramatically reduced team leader interruptions, accelerated onboarding, and became the single source of truth for entire organisations.
I've crafted and owned the social tone for a globally respected crypto brand, navigating multiple industry crises with precision — and emerged with better ratings than before.
Published author. Keynote speaker. Public knowledge base contributor. I write content that builds trust, clarifies complexity, and drives action — across every channel.
100% customer satisfaction score. Thousands of social media interactions managed. I understand what customers need — and how to deliver it at scale without losing the human touch.
I don't just follow processes — I find the gaps, design better workflows, and build the documentation so everyone can follow them. That's how organisations stop reinventing the wheel.
Actively embracing the future
While most professionals are still learning the basics, I've been developing my AI skill set since 2023, and since then I've experimented with everything from automations, quality control tools, marketing and operational strategy, to full scale AI-powered systems in a production environment.
I use Cursor to vibe-code real working tools — internal automation scripts and workflow systems — without a traditional engineering background.
Built and deployed customGPTs for quality control, tone-checking, and team workflows. I write precise prompts that get consistent, production-ready outputs.
Certified Notion power user — building interconnected databases, documentation hubs, and AI-enhanced knowledge systems that entire teams actually use.
Applied AI to process improvement: analysing patterns in customer queries, identifying content gaps, and building systems that get smarter over time.
Created AI-assisted quality control systems that review team communications for brand consistency, ensuring voice and tone stay on-standard at scale.
Proof of work
I don't just strategise — I execute. Here's what I've built independently, using AI tools and a bias for action.
Built a travel content site from zero — no existing traffic, no audience. Developed and executed a full inbound content strategy that grew organic reach from nothing to meaningful, measurable results.
Designed and built my own consulting site — strategy, copy, and code. A showcase of SEO-first architecture, clean brand positioning, and AI-augmented content built on modern open technology.
melissaawiringi.comMy first app build — a tool to help parents connect more deeply with their children through daily prompts and meaningful conversation. Built with AI assistance, shipped independently.

Alongside my career work, I'm always experimenting — testing ideas, learning through doing, and building things that interest me.
Full sports lockers manufacturing company rebuilt for the Australian and New Zealand market. Managing the website, operations strategy, and market positioning for this niche product category.
lockers.worldAn experimental luxury tea and beverage business. Exploring the intersection of ritual, wellness, and elevated product experience. Brand identity and early-stage concept development underway.
alchemy.luxeA startup at the research stage — I oversee the website and operations as we work through supplier discovery and product sourcing. Building the infrastructure before the launch.
dinq.shopA creative experimental space — where I play with ideas, aesthetics, and digital expression outside the boundaries of commercial work. Equal parts portfolio and playground.
alchemy.pinkThe first full-stack site I built as I learned development with Cursor AI. A resource for travellers exploring creative ways to fund long-term travel. Sitting in the backlog for a refresh when time allows.
howtofund.travelCareer journey
20+ years of growing businesses, serving customers, and building better systems — across four countries.
At one of the crypto industry's most respected brands for customer support, I built our social media voice from the ground up and held the line through some of the most dramatic events in crypto history — Celsius, Luna, FTX. I expanded my remit well beyond social, owning knowledge management for the team, developing two onboarding programs, and implementing AI-powered workflows using Cursor and customGPTs. I also led the Customer Service department's transition to an AI-powered Notion knowledge management solution, overhauling how the team stores, accesses, and communicates internal knowledge.
Published Domestic Violence on Ice and delivered motivational keynotes on mindset and overcoming adversity. Built and managed my own content ecosystem — websites, social media, email — developing the time management and internal systems to show up consistently while working full-time and raising four children while travelling the world.
Provided monthly strategy guidance to a domestic violence not-for-profit, developing revenue models to move the organisation toward self-sufficiency. Also managed IT and project management systems — doing more with less, which is a skill I've carried everywhere.
Led a high-impact knowledge management project that became the organisation's single source of truth — dramatically reducing Team Leader interruptions, cutting training time, reducing costs from misinformation, and raising customer satisfaction scores. The system was adopted across multiple departments. Alongside this, maintained excellence as a contact centre operator.
Sole charge of the office, managing accounts for four companies simultaneously — debtors, creditors, payroll, and PAYE. Redesigned office processes and built a customer management system from scratch, leaving behind infrastructure that outlasted my tenure.
Delivered high-quality public service across Passports, Citizenship, and Births, Deaths & Marriages — achieving 100% in a mystery caller quality review. Known for identifying process inconsistencies between offices and helping correct them. Mentored new team members and was frequently the go-to for knowledge and training.
Impact at a glance
A few numbers that tell the story better than bullet points.
Achieved a perfect score from a mystery caller audit during my time at the NZ Department of Internal Affairs — a benchmark I've carried throughout my career.
Designed two full onboarding programs at Exodus — one for new hires and one for internal employees transitioning to the Social Media Support team.
Not experiments — shipping. CustomGPTs for QA, Notion databases, and AI-enhanced content workflows, all in active daily use.
Held the social media line for Exodus through the Celsius, Luna, and FTX collapses — maintaining brand trust and improving platform ratings during industry-wide chaos.
Across government, healthcare, fintech, manufacturing, travel, and NFP sectors — with consistent themes: build better systems, leave things better than you found them.
Domestic Violence on Ice — a memoir and advocacy work. Because strategy and empathy are not opposites. The best operators are deeply human.
